4/7/2011	On March 31, 2011 I visited the Hawkeye Pride egg farm with David Miller, DNR and Jeff Vansteenburg, DNR to assess the cage collapse situation in building #4. During the investigation I observed that the two primary cells of the industrial wastewater lagoon were within a few inches of freeboard. I informed Dann Snyder, site manager, that the cells were near freeboard and needed to be corrected. On April 7, 2011 I received an email from JT Dean, site supervisor, that the pipes that discharge into the final cell had been frozen. They had now restored flow from the primary cells into the final cell and the primary cells were at normal freeboard. A photo showing the restored freeboard are attached.	ERIC WIKLUND
