3/5/2015	One area of concern was noted during the inspection. Based on the steep terrain, I observed that runoff from the westernmost pen could potentially travel a short distance through an adjoining pasture and discharge into a nearby tributary of Goodwater Creek (please see map). To address this issue, Mr. Ewing has installed a solids settling basin south of the pens to collect and treat runoff. However, due to the snow cover, I was unable to determine if runoff from the pens entered the basin as designed or traveled through the pasture and discharged into the creek. Therefore, a follow-up inspection will be conducted in the spring to reevaluate this area of the feedlot. No violations were observed during the inspection.	BRYAN BUNTON
