12/30/2008	Attached is a copy of the report resulting from the NPDES compliance and nutrient management plan inspection that I conducted on December 30 2008. A list of all requirements and recommendations can be found on page 4 of the report. Please note that an amendment to your NPDES permit was issued to you notifying you that your permit expires on April 9 2009. A copy is enclosed for your reference as well. You are highly encouraged to use the forms developed by Iowa State University Extension that we discussed. You can find copies of these forms at www.agronext.iastate.edu/immag. This should help ensure you maintain compliance with your NPDES permit. Additionally you are reminded that in accordance with Subrule 567 IAC 65.101(9) if a release of manure occurs from this feedlot you must notify the DNR within 6 hours of the occurrence of the incident. This letter and the enclosed report are based on visual observations made at one point in time and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of potential or existing violations.
