3/21/2008	The facility appears to be in good operation. According to Mr. Hunt an inspection of the runoff control basin is conducted at least weekly. Mr. Hunt stated that any signs of erosion are immediately repaired. Mr. Hunt was advised to inspect for animal burrows as well and to cut the vegetation back as heavy vegetation provides a good habitat for burrowing animals. There are three tile outlets into the total retention basin from the solids settling structures. Rip-rap has been added under all of the outlets. Additionally the solids settling basins located on the south side of the facility are for any expansion that may occur. However according to Mr. Hunt he is not planning on an expansion in the near future. As the photo above shows any runoff from the manure stockpiling is directed to the solids settling basins. The lift station is equipped with a submersible pump. The lift station has a visual alarm in the event of a pump failure. Mr. Hunt stated that the lift station is inspected daily.
