8/9/2018	At Mr. Kjergaards request, I followed up on the Troy Hanson stockpile complaint just west of Kimballton. This is the email I sent to him: I was able to follow up on the Troy Hansen stockpile. The stockpile has been moved about 80 feet to the east of that existing berm/terrace. Keep in mind that 567 of the Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 65.101 (below) does not include separation distances to roadside ditches. Also, the water source located to the west of the stockpile doesn't actually start directly to the west; rather, that portion of the water source was tiled out several years ago. The water source starts a little bit further to the south. Currently the stockpile is approximately 430 feet from where the water source actually starts. Also, I spoke with Mr. Hansen and I believe he intends to tile out more of the water source this fall so that he can move the stockpile back to the west and continue to use the existing berm/terrace as controls for any runoff from the stockpile.
