6/10/2015 Ryan Stouder (DNR FO6) and I met with Jim Gingerich and Ed Brinton (MMS Consultants, Inc.) at the facility to discuss WS and WW requirements. Ed has a schematic diagram of the water treatment and distribution system that he will submit to DNR WSE (he gave us a copy). He said he's had it for several years. We viewed the WS treatment system and compared it to the MMS diagram. The diagram appeared to be accurate, but we noted that one connection wasn't represented on it, i.e., the connection between the filter bypass and the softened water which would apparently allow softened water to be distributed to the entire park. Ed said the softeners do not have the capacity to serve the entire park, and presented several ideas, such as increasing the softening capacity or installation of an additional well which could be used for blending. We said those ideas sounded ok to us, but would have to be approved by WSE. We also told Jim what he could expect at the EPC meeting next week. We told him that if he doesn't attend, the EPC will likely refer him to the attorney general, although he may get referred anyway. We recommended that he bring his attorney to the meeting, but Ed did not agree that bringing his attorney would be a good idea. After Ed left, we viewed the WW lagoon with Jim. We told him the weeds need to be mowed so he can inspect the berm for burrowing animals, and told him that the cattails and other vegetation need to be removed from the liner in order to limit seepage. He said he's getting ready to draw down the lagoon and would look at that as a good time to remove the vegetation from the liner and to remove accumulated sludge. He said that Sandy didn't think that the two trees on the berm needed to be removed and we told that they do. He asked for guidance on the fence and signs for the lagoon and I said I would send him a copy of the design standards. JIM KACER
