3/24/2011	On March 3, 2011 I conducted a follow up visit to the Sivyer Steel foundry sand pile to observe progress on the removal of the stock pile behind their plant. I initially met with Frank Johnson but talked and toured the pile site with John Hoffman, safety manager. Mr. Hoffman stated that their disposal plans for clean (metal removed) sand to cement companies had fallen through and that they now planned to revert back to using it as fill at the onion field site which was being further prepared at the time of my visit. The clean fill needed to provide separation of the foundry sand from the ground water table is still in progress. Alexandar Mills appeared to have ramped up efforts to extract metal from the pile and have begun to stock pile separated sand in a large pile at the foundry sand site. In addition, Miller Excavating, who Sivyer has hired to haul the separated sand to the onion field site is going to use a large amount of the clean sand as fill in their projects and have installed a scale on site.
