9/1/2011	Visit due to exceedance and lack of information. Facilty had been troubleshooting and determined source was WW package plant. Onsite distillation method indicated 30 ppm ammonia same morning. Plant was not settling solids and was clearly not operating as it should. Discussed several potential problems (over-aeration, lack of adequate food, little use during the week-end, high ammonia in lift station, cleaning agents...) Collected sample at combined outfall, cooling towers were discharging but operator (Billy) sampled - will compare as duplicates. I advised them to pump (at least) a portion of the system and the lift station and put together a plan for getting system operational. May need to seed the system - they will collect additional data to better troubleshoot. They are planning to replace aerators next week but will put together plan for getting system fully operational and provide by end of week.	KATE BASON
