8/2/2022	Suspense date changed to September 30, 2022. Eric Cherko contacted FO4 and stated that the flow meter had been received by the contractor and the contractor was working on scheduling the work to be completed in the next month.	WENDY WITTROCK
2/7/2022	Received an email from E Cherko regarding the delay in the installation of the flow meter. The contractor I had been working with has become unresponsive. I have no idea why they would go through the trouble of a joint call and site visit if not they did not intend to do the project, but I have had to move on. I have another contractor lined up who has done work for I29 Hwy 2 SID before. I am also working with a Sensus rep to get the appropriate meter for this application. They are saying the type of meter we had been looking at that sits outside the pipe and induces flow is not suitable for the material our effluent piping is constructed of. When I get more details on the final plan I will forward it to you before we start the project.	WENDY WITTROCK
8/23/2021	Request by Eric Cherko to extend the suspense date another 45 days for the installation on the flow meter. Extension approved. Mr. Cherko is working with DNR and consultants to plan for the installation of the new flowmeter.	WENDY WITTROCK
6/15/2021	eric cherko 1:10 PM (12 minutes ago) to me Wendy, We have enlisted the help of an engineer, TD2, as I was not getting anywhere on the effluent flow measurement project. 			eric cherko <ericcherko@hotmail.com> Aug 29, 2020, 11:39 AM (4 days ago) to me Wendy, I wanted to provide an update on where we are in response to the issues brought up during our sanitary survey on April 28, 2020. 1) Exceedances in pH, CBOD, TSS and NH#-N. We have been within the limits of our permit since our inspection. Increased icing of samples in shipping to maintain temperature has been discussed to assure sample result validity. 2) Sludge accumulation in lagoons. Sludge judging was performed on the primary aerated cell. There is currently 1 to 1.25 feet of sludge existing in the primary cell. Total depth of wastewater in the cell is 7 feet. We will continue to check using a sludge judge to make sure excess sludge buildup does not occur. 3)Flow meter for final effluent discharge. I have contacted two construction companies; Kerns Construction from Plattsmouth NE, and Barrett Construction from Nebraska City NE. Barret construction will install a flow measurement channel after the clarifying cell. I am currently working with him to design the flow measurement structure. Barrett is having trouble working with vendors due to the Coronavirus pandemic. I am requesting an extension of the October 1st deadline. Winter should allow vendors time to return to normal and a design to be made. I would plan to have this work done next Spring or early Summer, weather depending. 4) PH of final effluent. I have tested our pH meter against another Hach meter and results were nearly identical (10.1 vs 10.3 on the 10 standard solution after calibration).
