4/6/2015	Amy Davidson and Mike Smith with the DNR Solid Waste Section accompanied me in a meeting and site visit. Robert Weidner, Bill Schmitt, Gary Freel, et al. with the City of Ames, and Doug Luzbetak and Todd Whipple, consultants, attended. We discussed future closure plans for the old city landfill. Mike Smith will be following up. We visited the site and found some ponded water which the city will address this spring. There was also some discussion about the steep northwest slope. Mike will also address this matter in future correspondences.	BILL GROSS
