5/9/2016	On 3/10/16 I stopped at the municipal building in Dubuque and met with John Foster and Don Vogt We discussed the ongoing HHW issues at the landfill and how the County was going to be proceeding to get in compliance with the CCC and HHW rules regarding proper sealing of the collection center's concrete floor and storage issues. They are looking at several possible plans to bring the current HHW building into compliance. Long term financing for this operation is a concern. I emphasized that they must work with Kathleen Henning of the DNR central office to get this facility into compliance and that I would be happy to try and put together a conferenct call to discuss this situation with Dubuque and DNR CO folks next week. Unfortunately, this call never did take place as the CO folks and the Dubuque folks could not seem to work such a call into their busy schedules.	DOUG HAWKER
