11/18/2019	As part of my fall of 2019 MSW Landfill tour, I visited this landfill. I met with Eric Houtz and later spoke with Hal Morton via phone call. The landfill looked quite good. The working face was adequately sized. Litter fences were almost surrounding the cell and Eric said they move the fences periodically to keep them effective. The leachate lagoons no longer discharge to the creek. The one cell is aerated so it does provide some onsite treatment before it is gravity fed into the northern most holding lagoon. From that lagoon, some of the leachate is pumped up into the landfill for recirculation. The leachate evaporator wasn't working. Litter was almost non-existent. Interior roads were in great shape. Overall, the site looked to be well managed and operated.	KURT LEVETZOW
