4/29/2013 Visited the now closed recycling and processing facility on April 25, 2013 at the request of site manager Mr. Kach (712/225-3749). During this site visit, I observed the recycling and separation building still had its equipment in it, but that equipment has all been sold to Van's Recycling in Le Mars, IA. I observed this equipment and the inside of the building had been adequately cleaned up and the building, walls, floors, equipment, etc. looked great. Mr. Kach said they are storing mixed recyclables only on the floor in the NW corner of this building and these materials are being sent to Van's when enough material for a load is collected. Cleaning this building is a requirement of the closure activities at this site. This task has adequately been done. I also visited the adjacent fuel pellet building and it looked very clean as well. The contents of this building have not been sold so the equipment will remain in the building until it is sold so that the prospective buyer can observe its operation capabilities. Mr. Kash indicated the plan is to dump mixed recyclables (only) on the floor of this building and load onto a walking floor trailer to be haluled directly to Van's Recycling since this building has a truck/trailer loadout area connected to it.
