11/3/2016 11/2/16 - Yuta emailed me a response indicating that leachate and cover issues were addressed in August and September: I apologize for the late response. Please also send me copies of the inspection reports in the future. Here is what I gathered on the 3 required items from the June 2016 MPW DNR inspection report. 1. Core and seal leachate seeps: The seep areas were dug out and replaced with clay, covered with compost, and seeded. This was completed in August. 2. Finished are repair: the area has been regraded, paced with compost material, and seeded. This was completed in September. 3. Additional earthen cover in the eastern half of Cell A: Additional soil was placed. This was completed in August. In regards to your recommendations: • Sediment removal: Sediment was removed from the sedimentation pond in 2015 to the original design grades. Sediment levels are observed on the riser pipe during the monthly erosion control and SWPPP inspection. We will cleanout sediment prior to the sediment storage volume reaches capacity identified in design analysis and marked on indicator structure. • Storm Water COD concentration: COD concentration from the September 7, 2016 sampling event was measured below the reporting limit.
