4/17/2026	4/14/2026 - I visited the area around the complainant's farm, along the Jasper-Polk Co. line, and along Highway 163 late in the afternoon afternoon after the landfill was closed. I saw little or no litter off-site. I did see a few pieces of plastic along the county line road east of the landfill and a few along Highway 163, but overall I would consider the landfill compliant. There was a lot of litter in the litter fences on-site (it had been a windy day. 4/15/2026 - I left a voice message with Matt Morris about the complaint and my findings. 4/16/2026 - Matt sent this email message response: I received your voicemail yesterday and wanted to follow up with you on that. We did have a few high wind events in recent weeks and had multiple teams of staff members addressing off site litter over multiple days, including Mark's property. I have not had a chance to follow up with Mark personally, however in doing some visual inspections of the area, there are no signs of windblown litter off-site. We are continuing to monitor IA-163 on a daily basis as we have done historically. We also have brought on outside temporary help to address litter within our fenceline and are seeing rapid improvements following these wind events.
