5/8/2025 Talked to Chris Dohrer at 1210 hrs on 5/8/25. He wanted to know if there are alternatives to installing overhead doors on the covered bays. I instructed him to email his proposed solution to Chad, keeing in mind the intention of this requirement is to control litter, dust, vectors and prevent contaminated runoff. SHANE DODGE

4/23/2025 On 4/22/2025 I met with Chris Dohrer on site. Mr. Dohrer works for Black Hawk Waste and has just started assisting with the transfer station operations. It was noted that all cardboard was being stored inside the bays at the time of my visit. Mr. Dohrer stated that they stored cardboard outside for a week recently when their baler broke down and they needed the room. With regard to dumping hydraulic oil, I showed Mr. Dohrer the photo and he recalled the day the photo was taken and stated that they do not dump oil on the buckets of their equipment and questioned the benefit of doing that. He informed me that the day the photo was taken a skid loader caught fire (the burned out skid loader was still on site). The were able to remove the grappling bucket and took it to the entrance of their maintenance shop where the fire damaged hydraulic lines were replaced. There may have been a small amount of oil that leaked out of the lines. I did observe oil stained gravel on the ground leading in front of the main shop door, it appeared to have accumulated over time. Mr. Dohrer agreed to remove the stained gravel and place down new gravel. On 4/23/258 Mr. Dohrer informed me that they were removing the stained gravel and would be finished yet today. He will send photos when this is complete. NFA at this time. CHAD KEHRLI
