4/12/2023	(Referred to City of Waterloo Code Enforcement) I investigated this complaint on 4/11/2023. I met with John Baugus (operations/sales manager) who stated that the compactor at the facility had broken down 3-4 weeks ago. They brought back a retired mechanic to get it fixed. They are now running double shifts to catch up on baling the cardboard and expect it to be all caught up by this weekend. Mr. Baugus stated that they pick up litter from 2-4 pm each day. I did not witness any litter off site of this facility and the amount of scattered cardboard on site was minimal during my investigation. This facility is currently working with the Iowa Waste Reduction Center in Cedar Falls. and Mr. Baugus said the City of Waterloo code enforcement had been out. I suggested Mr. Baugus give us a courtesy call next time they have a lengthy break down so we are aware of it. I spoke with Maria Downing from the city of Waterloo code enforcement and she said they are handling this incident.	JASON GEARHART
