9/27/2022	9/26/22 - County Supervisor Fitch called and reported they would be sending a letter to the county attorney asking that the requirement to exhume the blade material from the landfill be rescinded. She said J. Pettiecord will not be allowed to bring waste to the landfill for a year.	BILL GROSS
9/21/2022	9/20/22 - Todd Whipple of HLW called about exhuming turbine blade waste from the landfill. I told him permission to exhume from the DNR is only for unpermitted sites. I told him the main concern would be employee health and safety in the process. I made it clear that the DNR does not require exhumation. The waste will still need to go to another landfill. 8/4/2022	I visited the South Central Iowa SLF and met with Marcia Beeler. She confirmed he waste load came in on July 15th and one of the blade pieces did come up through the dozer windshield. I then went to the J. Pettiecord Earlham site at 20256 360th Ct. and met with Cory Walker (and subsequently with Caley Parrish by phone). They said they didn't realize the waste needed to only go to certain landfills. I explained the regulations and told them MWA comp. plan includes unincorporated Dallas Co. See the attached letter.
