1/8/2025	The open hog lot had manure running from the east side into the road ditch. Frozen conditions, but I followed the manure flow east down the ditch and it eventually dried up. I did not observe any tile intakes or tributaries in the vicinity, though I talked to the owner (Dale Jungers) about medium CAFO rules and allowing manure to reach the road ditch being not a recommended practice. Dale said that he was doing construction on the outside pens/catch areas on the east side of the facility and there was a guy there working with a skid loader. I called Jon Hintz at O'Brien County Environmental Health and let them know that I visited the site, but did not see a violation due to no tile intakes or water sources observed in the area of runoff.
