10/12/2010	I inspected the area around the Iowa Cage Free facility on October 8, 2010. I did not observe any evidence of storm water sediment in the stream. I called the site owner, Joe Fuller, to discuss the complaint. He gave me permission to inspect the site. I inspected the site with Roger Meyer, the foreman for Henning Construction. Meyer conducts the weekly storm water inspections and had records available. Erpelding Construction installs and maintains the storm water controls at the site. New silt fence was installed about two months ago, and it appeared to be in good condition. I did not observe any problems during my inspection. I suggested that silt fence be temporarily installed around a tile intake on the north edge of the property, since the area could be flooded if there was a period of severe rains. I said that a more permanent control structure should be installed by spring, and the Pollution Prevention Plan should be updated. I discussed my inspection results with the complainant.
