12/21/2021 A NOV Letter was sent on 12-21-21 and is attached in FOCD. ANTHONY KERKER
12/9/2021 On December 6, 2021 I arrived to Chamness in response to a complaint of brown discolored water of Palestine Creek. The complainant was concerned that the land application of leachate in the field to the South of Chamness was contributing to the water quality of Palestine Creek. Upon my investigation it was evident that the water within Palestine Creek had been impacted due to the orange/brown color seen on 12-6-21. I conducted water samples in four locations to be tested for BOD and Ammonia. I also found several tile risers in the filed South of Chamness where land application was occurring to be knocked over. A marsh was also found in the filed to the South of Chamness to have black discolored water. I was able to trace the discolored water from a grass water way into Palestine Creek. The middle lagoon at Chamness is also starting to overflow and no two feet of freeboard was being practiced as of 12-6-21. SHL results are pending as of 12-9-21. A memo of the events seen on 12-6-21 is attached. ANTHONY KERKER
