1/31/2014	On January 31, 2014, I contacted Mr. Doug Kliess, owner of HMCI Dairy and notified him of the complaint. We discussed the compost regulations in detail. Mr. Kliess stated that his staff may have failed to fully cover recent mortalities and the compost area would be in compliance by the afternoon. No site visit was made due to disease protocol, weather and no threat to water. An inspection for NPDES compliance, including a compost inspection, will be scheduled for the future. No violation was issued.	RICK MARTENS
