6/10/2013	Complaint investigated 5/8/13. Tile was observed to be running, discharging brown water to the creek. Samples were collected of the discharge from the tile as well as immediately upstream and downstream of the tile outlet. I spoke with Bruce Hasche, owner of the feedlot (ID #65360) on the north side of 160th, and to Randy and Kyle Grooters from Rock River Feedyards (ID#56382). Neither reported any problems or discharges from their respective feedlots. It is unknown where this tile line leads, but possible location was discussed. Additional samples were also collected at upstream locations (Hasche crossing, Multi-Rose crossing, and upstream on Fir Ave) and taken to Lakeside Labs for analysis. Sample results indicate high levels of contamination, but the exact source(s) were unknown. I did not speak to anyone from Multi-Rose Dairy (ID#61409), but noticed several possible sources of contamination at this location as well. Further investigation is warranted.	SHEILA KENNY
