Since there were no solids on the filter and the water results confirm the presence of several metals and regulated and unregulated parameters (quantitative section), no further testing of the filter is planned. The quantitative results are less than maximum contaminant levels or secondary maximum contaminant levels, which I have included below. It is good to know the filter will have a routine replacement schedule in the future. The department is still strongly encouraging DAS to work with Des Moines Water Works to investigate the cause for the heavily discolored water throughout the building.
