They just called and told me over the phone but I haven’t received the actual paperwork. I have been in contact with Stu Schmidt and he’s been very helpful. Also, the Iowa Department of Public Health may be interested in what you are experiencing and have other ideas regarding environmental factors that could be causing your family's symptoms. You can reach the Stu Schmitz at 515-281-8707; he is the state toxicologist. John Kelly (515) 724-9961 with IDPH is also the primary contact for the Iowa Plumbing Code if you have questions for him. DMWW will contact the homeowner and send a technician out this week to inspect the plumbing and collect samples, if it's determined to be necessary. The geothermal system is actually not in use. Approximately one year ago when they moved into the home it was determined to not be working and they had traditional heating and cooling installed. It's been the last 6-8 weeks that the "neurological" symptoms began with him and have now been experienced by three other family members. He reported submitting samples to the state hygienic laboratory (SHL) and results of analysis were some level of detection but not enough to worry about per the SHL; I'm not sure where samples were collected. Apparently glycols go through the system rapidly so he did not have any blood work supporting his suspicions. The geothermal system was original to the home's construction in 1987.	JANET GASTINEAU

9/10/2018	I originally reached out to Mr. Miller and the city of Ankeny 9/7/2018. I ended up talking to both 9/10/2018. Shawn Buckner reported this address is outside of the city of Ankeny corporate boundary. I contacted John Lins with DMWW and he confirmed this is their territory. He has a geothermal installer coming out on Wednesday, but can cancel that if your staff is able to take a look at it before then. I told him someone would be contacting him to schedule a visit in the home. Thanks for all your help! Homeowner believes glycol product from geothermal system getting into drinking water supply. Family experiencing neurological problems.
