12/20/2017 I called SHL and had them be sure the sample Levy collected was uploaded to the DNR as a special. JANET GASTINEAU
12/19/2017 When I talked to the complainant she was not interested in giving me her email address so I could provide her with the CCR for DMWW. She complained the water supplies don't provide enough data. I texted her the phone number for the FO and with the complaint number in case she calls next week and I am out of the office. 12/19/2017 Other information from talking to Ted: 200 foot long dead end with two houses. In 1994 the main was shortened for a city project and the hydrant and service were moved. A lot of activity on this account including monthly terminations. No WQ communications on her account in the last year, but it is only about 95% accurate. This dead end would be part of the annual dead end flushing program. JANET GASTINEAU
12/19/2017 Gastineau, Janet <[email protected]> 2:04 PM (1 hour ago) to John, Jennifer, Ted, Distribution, Jeff, Terry, Judy Thanks for the visit, Ted. I talked to the complainant afterwards and she submitted samples to the state hygienic lab who will be doing lead, copper, iron and manganese. This is on water collected preflushing. She said the colored water she was experiencing has improved. She was under the impression no bottles would be brought to her until after she contacted someone from DMWW to do so. She mistook the complaint investigation as meaning there must be something seriously wrong with her water, but I assured her each complaint is taken seriously by both the DMWW and the DNR and what she is experiencing is routine. She did not want me to schedule a visit for collecting additional samples; I had agreed with Ted to collect for bacteria, iron, and manganese. She's very concerned about "heavy metal" poisoning and it probably doesn't help much that those at the SHL receiving told her not to drink the water. I left it with her that I would do nothing more till she reached back out to me. Thank you for your thoroughness. JANET GASTINEAU
