5/19/2017	I investigated this complaint on 19MAY17 as part of a routine site visit to the landfill. I met with NCIRSWA Chief Operating Officer Chris Feser and Facilities Manager Rob Anderson. I explained the complaint and asked what happened. They indicated that, on the day of the complaint, they were cleaning the leachate force main, trying to remove a plug, and there was indeed spillage; but it was potable water, not leachate. They also agreed that it was dusty that day and stated that they watered the roads late in the day. I went over the performance standard of “nuisance dust at the property line”. No issues of concern were found during the site visit; noting that the leachate force main is still out of operation. They have rigged up some temporary piping and are pumping the leachate into a truck for transport to the POTW.	DAVID MILLER
