8/23/2017	spoke with Brian Ward (new landfill operator) about the complaint. discussed the following: Per our discussion, this is a followup email regarding the complaint we received. The complainant mentioned landfill certification posting, daily cover and the location of active cell (complainant didn't know where to dump his trash). 1. Please note that while you are required to maintain certification (you stated that yourself as well as the other employees at the landfill are all certified), I could not find any rule requiring that your certificate be posted for the public's viewing. 2. Daily Cover Requirements: please note that 567 IAC Chapter 113 requires that "six inches of cover material or an approved depth or application of alternative cover material shall be placed and maintained over waste in the active portion at the end of each operating day, or at more frequent intervals if necessary, to control vectors, fires, odors, blowing litter, and scavenging" 3. Where to dump trash: during the phone call you mentioned that the facility has put up signs directing the public where to dump their trash. responded to the complainant via email on 8/23/17	RYAN YOUNG
