12/27/2017 Samples collected at the SEP with the plant off (therefore pulling water from the tower or d-system) yielded no chlorine yesterday. Mr. Cherko noted that the new well was just placed on-line and wondered if that could be the issue. We discussed ammonia, iron, manganese, etc. concentrations in the new versus old well. Mr. Cherko thought they were all similar. During the conversation, he also noted that the chlorine pump recently had a plug in it as well. The plug has been repaired but it likely affected chlorine residuals. I recommended that Sapp Brothers flush their system, as long as it can be done safely without creating ice hazards, to turn the water over within the tower. I recommended that chlorine monitoring subsequently be performed to determine the plug in the pump was the problem. If that doesn't correct the problem, then we can continue troubleshooting. Eric will keep the FO updated. KEITH WILKEN
