11/6/2017	I received a call from Erik Johnson, Essentia, this afternoon (320pm)...he is requesting that Field Office allow application of 50,000 gallons rather than the permitted 27,000 gallons, as prescribed in the operation permit. I told him, no, especially, after he told me Essentia requested from the Central Office a variance (although, he wouldn't call it a variance) from the operation permit. He affirms the land applicator, Bob Sterdt(?) of RJS (formerly Hose Real Mafia) can apply 50,000 gallons without incident; I still told him no, that Essentia must follow the permit. Also, he added that if Field Office staff saw that 50,000 gallons can be land applied, then FO staff can convince CO staff to change their mind and allow 50,000 gallons. Again, I said, not allowed. Thabit and I just spoke and we are on the same page. Also, I spoke with Alison earlier (she was out in the field today) and we are on the same page as well. Alison and I will touch bases with Erik tomorrow to confirm they are following the permit.	JESSICA MONTANA
