8/22/2017	Jason Nieland: My brother got something about a violation in July. Dan Olson: You annual MMP update was due July 1st. Jason Nieland: We haven't done any application yet. We just got it fully populated in June. Dan Olson: Annual MMP updates are due each year on the 1st of the month in which the original MMP was submitted. Jason Nieland: And the fee is $1.00 per head? Dan Olson: The compliance fee is 15 cents per animal unit. 980 cattle is 980 animal units. 980 animal units at 15 cents is $147.00. Jason Nieland: I thought that the MMP was good for 4 years. Dan Olson: The MMP is a 4 year plan. The on-site copy must be up-to-date at all times. If you add a field or change a practice, the change should be reflected in the on-site copy of the MMP BEFORE the application occurs. The updates are a picture of what the plan is at that time of the update. Once every 4 years, you give us a complete plan, which is a pretty detailed picture. In the 3 interim years, you can use the short form.	DAN OLSON
