7/12/2017 Bidar, Taroon 1:43 PM (45 minutes ago) to me, Michael, Bob I don't think we have received any 4-log application from them for the Army Post ASR. Please ask them to sent in their application to Bob or I. One of us will review this. JANET GASTINEAU
7/12/2017 Gastineau, Janet <[email protected]> Attachments2:19 PM (7 minutes ago) to mccurnin, Contact, Jennifer, Carter, Jeff, Vern Water Supply Engineering (WSE) has no documentation of having approved the Army Post ASR for 4-log inactivation in accordance with the Groundwater Rule. The purpose of operating the well with the 4-log credit is to avoid having to collect additional total coliform samples if you or one of the purchasing water system has a positive routine result (triggered sampling). So, unless I completely misunderstood your intentions with the long transmission and CO2 feed at the Army Post ASR, please submit this request to the WSE Section at your earliest convenience. I have included an attachment that may make this process more clear. Of course, you may certainly operate the ASR without this additional treatment and documentation, but then be subject to the requirements of the GWR, just as the LP Moon ASR is. If it is DMWW's desire to avoid triggered sampling, my interest is to ensure the approval has been given and operating parameters assigned so the first season of recovery may proceed and be properly reported on monthly operation reports.
