6/19/2017 Barb Wood called in a concentration effluent limit violation for mercury and we had a discussion about the need for her to report that, because they are picked up during the 6 months reviews. Sent the follow email. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ From: Miller, David <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Jun 15, 2017 at 3:03 PM Subject: Mercury To: Contact <[email protected]> Cc: "Klatt, Jeremy" <[email protected]> Barb - Jeremy and I read the paragraph below to mean that you only have to call us on an effluent limit violation of the daily max, not the 30 day average. So, you need not call us unless your daily max is over 0.001665 MG/L or 0.2052 LBS/DAY. We will still do the 6 months reviews and, if there are two or more limits exceeded, by 1.2x, that will be an NOV. 567—63.12(455B) Twenty-four-hour reporting. All permittees shall report any permit noncompliance that may endanger human health or the environment including, but not limited to, violations of maximum daily limits for any toxic pollutant (listed as toxic under 307(a)(1) of the Act) or hazardous substance (as designated in 40 CFR Part 116 pursuant to 311 of the Act). Information shall be provided orally to the appropriate regional field office of the department within 24 hours from the time the permittee becomes aware of the circumstances DAVID MILLER
