4/12/2017	Jeff called with questions regarding asbestos requirements for demoing a shoreline home in Clear Lake, IA. I explained single family homes are exempt, but cautioned about wetting the materials if he believes asbestos may be present. Jeff then asked if they could pump lake water from Clear Lake to wet the debris if necessary. I contacted Michael Anderson (DNR Water Use) who explained as long as less than 25,000 gallons a day are withdrawn, no permits would be required to do this.
