2/23/2017	Nancy called to ask about a water source near this site. They received a construction permit last year but would like to move the proposed new isolation barn to the east side of the farm. There is a farm pond to the east of the site that appears to have an outlet so she was looking for clarification were to measure for separation distances. After discussing with senior staff, I called Nancy back and explained the DNR's determination has been that the farm pond itself does not count even though it outlets, so any water source up or down stream would be the measurement point. I said based on the aerial photos it is not clear if a water source exists upstream of the pond but that will be reviewed during the site survey visit. She will complete the paperwork and submit it.
