I would be cautious if they were using used membranes for UF/MF. I would ask their engineers to send something to confirm they are the same modules which were approved and currently being used. We are considering replacing the first module or two on each RO unit. We have discovered some reconditioned modules for sale at a discounted rate. Would there be any issue with using used modules? The modules were used for water treatment and have been through a cleaning/conditioning process. They are the same model (Dow XLE 440) we are currently using.
