10/4/2016	Shawn Smith owns the ground around this site and there is severe erosion occurring resulting in the creek to be closer to the confinement site (addressed in a DNR NOV letter dated May 5, 2016). David James told Shawn that he should help pay for the maintenance so he can meet the 500 foot separation distance to a water of the state. Shawn stated that the erosion is occurring because the confinement is diverting all storm water onto his ground. I advised Shawn that the DNR does not get involved in land owner disputes. Shawn stated that David told him that he would just build a concrete wall separating the two properties. I advised Shawn that a concrete wall will not fix the issue of failing to meet all required distances.	ALISON MANZ
