9/9/2016	On my way to a spill while I was on call, I drove through Floris, IA, and observed Sedore trash receptacles sitting at the corner of many lots through town. Apparently Sedore now services their SW pickup. Floris is in Davis County, and Davis County is in Ottumwa-Wapello County Landfills comp planning area. I called Steve Jones at the Ottumwa Landfill. Steve said Sedore's packer truck was just in to dump a load, the first in a long, long time. Steve said the Sedore driver told the scale attendant that this is the only load they'll be getting, and the only reason he's taking it to Ottumwa is because Sedore's transfer station floor is full of garbage already. Steve Jones went on to tell me Sedore has at least 4 commercial accounts in Ottumwa, along with Floris, and typically never brings waste to Ottuwma. I then called Wade Hamm at GRRWA Landfill to inform him, because most of Sedore's waste goes to GRRWA. Wade said he'd start checking through Sedore's loads more carefully.	KURT LEVETZOW
