6/30/2016	0951 Hrs: Received a call from a concerned citizen who did not think the manure storage pit at this facility is deep enough. Caller stated they had been informed that the pit walls are supposed to be 8-feet tall and the east wall has been poured and the caller doesn't think the wall is over 6-feet tall. I explained that the submitted CDS claimed an 8-foot deep pit, that this is an industry standard depth for pits at facilities of this type/size, and that the contractor, New Modern Concepts, has built many, many hundreds of facilities in the state over the years. Consequently, I would be very surprised if pit construction did not meet either construction standards or annual manure storage needs. I further stated that we do not have adequate evidence at this time to assume wrong doing and send staff to the site. However, I stated that if caller still feels strongly that something is wrong at the site, they can file an official complaint and we would conduct a site visit to investigate the caller's concerns. Caller stated they want to check on a few more things before they decide whether to file a complaint.	TRENT LAMBERT
