4/13/2016 Email exchange - see below: It is my understanding Plendls are applying for an NPDES permit for 1500 head of cattle in an open feedlot and 990 head cattle in confinement. My plan is to include the 990 head cattle confinement in with the NMP and not have a separate MMP at this time. Do I have Plendls send in the paperwork and indemnity fees ($99 + $250 = $349) for an unpermitted Confinement Feeding Operation for the 990 head in confinement or do I use the paperwork for a permitted operation since they are applying for an NPDES permit? Or is this just included in the NPDES fees? Rhonda, Since the confinement is less than 1,000 animal units, Plendls will need to send in the fees for an unpermitted confinement (CDS also – it’s fine to include the confinement animals in the NMP). They also need the NPDES permit fee and NPDES permit application. Let me know if you have any other questions. BRANDON MINER
