6/3/2015	Jim Meade called and stated that they were considering locating an AI chicken incinerator on the transfer station property and, if so, they would move around their wood pallets, tire and scrap metal storage areas. He asked if this would be a problem. I stated that the moving of the storage areas was no problem since their transfer station permit does not specify where on the property they are located. I advised him that incinerators need air permits, although DNR might waive that requirement in this emergency situation, but there was a formal waiver process that must be followed. He said that they were working with Clean Harbors who did the one in Bancroft, and he was confident they understood the program. I also suggested that he give a courtesy call to Bill Rowland at the Landfill of North Iowa, because their solid waste goes to LNI and I thought Mr. Rowland would be interested in knowing the vehicle decontamination protocol as there may be questions about virus transfer by vehicle tire tracking.
