10/3/2014 From: Miller, David [DNR] Sent: Friday, October 03, 2014 6:52 AM To: 'Cleary, Dave' Subject: RE: Petroleum Contaminated Soil to Landfill There is a 28e agreement in place that specifies that waste generated within a solid waste planning area must be disposed within that planning area, unless the disposal facility in that area elects not to accept it. So, the PCS from Eldora needs to go to RIWMA. DAVID MILLER Environmental Specialist Senior From: Cleary, Dave [mailto:dccleary@terracon.com] Sent: Friday, October 03, 2014 6:19 AM To: Miller, David [DNR] Subject: Petroleum Contaminated Soil to Landfill Good morning David, We have a soil corrective action for a gas station site in Eldora. Is there a requirement that the petroleum contaminated soil (PCS) needs to stay within the County and go to the RIWMA landfill in Hardin County or can it go to another landfill in the state? The RIWMA landfill is willing to accept the material. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks Dave Dave Cleary, REM Department Manager I Environmental Terracon DAVID MILLER
