10/1/2014	Rick said a rendering company wants to take animal scraps (non-liquid) to the Tama County SLF and wanted to know what to do. I told him that the landfill needs to establish special waste acceptance criteria (SWAC) for this material and define how it will be handled on-site (e.g., cover it with soil immediately). If Tama doesn't want it, they must provide an alternate site.	BILL GROSS
