9/16/2014	I sat in on a Project Initiation Meeting teleconference for a the expansion of the Rembrandt egg laying/breaking facility in Thompson. Their current wastewater plant is still below flow and BOD design capacity, but the influent is above the TKN design capacity and they will need another 200,000 gallons per day when the factory expansion is complete. They will be adding new dryers so there is an air permitting component as well. The project is underway with the concrete slabs going in this fall, with the majority of construction next year, and they hope to have the new wastewater capacity on line in spring of 2016. Rembrandt went over their plans in a general way, and we discussed the how the Nutrient Strategy program will affect their limits in the future. There was a sense of urgency communicated by the Rembrandt people, and DNR went over the key schedule milestones, review expectations, and reminded them of the required public notices. FO2 can expect a Work Request for a Site Survey in the near future.	DAVID MILLER
