6/17/2014 At 4:30 today I received a call from State Patrol concerning a complaint of this facility pumping directly to a creek from a SOFEB. I spoke to Feedlot owner, Brian Peterson. He said they received 7.2 inches of rain Saturday night and another 1.0 inch Sunday morning. He also said they received 5 ½ inches of rain two weeks ago. He said his three SOFEB’s are full and they are pumping effluent to a standing rye field about ¼ mile from the creek. He said with the ground saturated, runoff is occurring to the creek but they are not pumping directly to the creek. Don also spoke to the feedlot earlier today. BRANDON MINER
