4/25/2014 I spoke with Perry to inform him that our office had received another complaint regarding the seed corn spilling near the intake pond. Perry stated that they are still working to clean-up the corn in that area. He said a silt fence has been installed along the road to keep the corn from getting to the pond. He also plans to install a rock berm lined with straw wattles along the length of the corn storage area to help filter the runoff water. Perry stated they have been shut down for a month and are just now starting up again. They are using up the corn as quickly as they can and will vacuum up all the remaining spilled corn. He said he has made it clear to the LeHigh workers that the corn must be handled in a way to prevent spillage in the future. I requested that Perry send me a couple pictures of the current clean-up efforts and to keep me appraised as the work continues. DAVID KNOLL
