1/10/2014 Deb McDonald called on 10JAN14 and asked the following questions, and I gave her the indicated answers: The cover letter with the new NPDES permit for the leachate spray field say they should call the Field Office and get a proper form on which to submit the monthly MORs. What form is that? I indicated that this language was boilerplate and that the wastewater discharge MOR form was not really suited to the NPDES land application permit. I advised Ms. McDonald to continue to submit MORs using the same format she had been using under the old permit. The permit states that they must hay the spray field and remove the vegetation so that additional nutrients are not added to the soil. Do they need to do this when they do not spray during an entire season, which occurred 2013. I suggested that they need not hay the spray field if they do not spray at all during an entire growing season, but if they spray even once, then they must meet the vegetation removal requirement.
