12/5/2013 Pipe split at 37th and Easton. Low pressure calls started about 2 am and DMWW on site located the break around 3 am. Break isolated and under repair but some homes within the break without water, including a retirement home. Low pressure outside of the isolated area until about 4:30. Low hazard, residential area. School nearby taps into boosted area. They will be taking all their usual precautions and we decided since everything is contained and under control to conduct the repair as usual with flushing and sampling follow up. They are sampling the area effected outside of the isolated area for coliform this morning and tomorrow and will do the same in the isolated area after repairs are completed later today. They will work more directly with the retirement home to ensure flushing interiorily is conducted and collect special TCR sample there. JANET GASTINEAU
