10/9/2013 On 10/09/2013 at ~0913 Mr. Webb contacted the Field Office with a question regarding main repairs and sampling. Mr. Webb explained that MidAmerican was replacing valves prior to the tower. He indicated they knew about the procedures for disinfection. As for sampling, they were questioning where to take the samples since it was prior to the tower. We discussed sampling and how many could be collected. Mr. Webb was informed that they could take as many samples as they wanted; and that a set of samples could be a minimum of two or as many as ten. As for where to collect them, as an example it was explained that they could take one prior or upstream to the the valve, one downstream, and another after the tower.
