9/12/2013 Nancy was looking for any compliance issues regarding the landfill. I provided her the info below via email: From: Lee, Brian [DNR] Sent: Thursday, September 12, 2013 4:19 PM To: 'ncoon@oakhelm.com' Cc: Smith, Mike [DNR] Subject: Keokuk Closed Municipal Landfill - 56-SDP-04-77C Nancy, Please reference the attached documents regarding the Closed Keokuk Municipal Landfill. We periodically complete visits/inspections of the site to ensure the integrity of the landfill is maintained. There has been some cover and erosion issues in the past, but they have apparently been addressed at this time. Groundwater is still monitored by an independent engineer, who is hired by the owner, and they complete a semi-annual assessment of the landfill as well. I included Mike Smith, a DNR Solid Waste Engineer in Des Moines, in on this email in case he has any relevant info to add regarding the status of the landfill (Mike, Nancy is looking for any compliance issues with this site).
